Reaching Out To You: HL Assurance Pte. Ltd. (“HLAS”) is a licensed insurance company in Singapore since 2012 and a subsidiary of Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad (“HLFG”), a public listed company in Malaysia.

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Partnership Distribution, you will be responsible to

  • The Business Development Manager role builds strong relationships and drives strategic partnerships with Affinity Partners and within the Hong Leong Group of companies.
  • He/She is responsible for developing sales strategies to drive new acquisitions to achieve the targets assigned to the business segment.

Responsibilities:

Affinity Partnerships

  • Acquire and maintain affinity partnerships to increase business penetration in the consumer market. This will include but not limited to banks, telcos, payment providers, utilities, memberships, online travel agencies and e- commerce companies
  • Drive lead generation and sales distribution for insurance products within partner’s platform.

 Direct Customer and SME

  • Develop sales strategy to engage with SMEs directly to drive commercial and personal lines insurance sales initiatives
  • Introduce worksite marketing to drive acquisition
  • Plan and execute roadshows, seminars and any other engagement activities

Bancassurance and Hong Leong Group of companies

  • Manage the relationship with Group related companies to drive cross sell opportunities for commercial and personal lines insurance.
  • Work closely with the bank’s Relationship or Product managers to identify opportunities and provide sales and operational support.
  • Engage with the bank’s customers directly when required
  • Provide product trainings to the banking team as required

Sales Plan and Report Management

  • Maintain a pipeline of potential new partners and partnership campaigns
  • Provide bi – weekly sales performance reports and forecast on partners and channels assigned
  • Provide sales strategy and pipeline plans to accelerate growth

Job Requirements :

  • Diploma/ Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 -5 years of Business Development experience in similar capacity, preferably in general insurance industry
  • Sales background in Corporates / SMEs and managing sales channels will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation and excellent relationship management skills
  • Mature, ability to build long term business relationships
  • Creative, Resourceful, strong project management and organization skills
  • Certifications in BCP, PGI and ComGI will be a plus.
