Reaching Out To You: HL Assurance Pte. Ltd. (“HLAS”) is a licensed insurance company in Singapore since 2012 and a subsidiary of Hong Leong Financial Group Berhad (“HLFG”), a public listed company in Malaysia.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, training & development, employee welfare, relations & engagement.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies/ initiatives which are aligned with business objectives
  • Review HR policies periodically to ensure compliance to statutory requirements
  • Oversees admin department to ensure smooth services delivery
  • Work with HODs on staffing requirements, review and draft job description, post job vacancies, interview suitable candidates till making an offer and other on boarding activities for new joins. Process work passes’ application, renewal and cancellation.
  • Handle monthly payroll and administer/submit employee benefits & government claims
  • Administer eLeave portal, yearly performance assessment and letters for variable bonus payout; salary review for increment, promotion, transfer and confirmation.
  • Monitor and renew/ terminate contracts, prepare acceptance of resignation or termination letter, conduct exit interview and inventory clearance.
  • Handle employees’ work-related grievances and feedback, provide HR advice/ counselling and execute disciplinary actions where appropriate
  • Prepare and generate accurate reports: monthly personnel statistics, salary analysis, ERM, management, budget, MIS work analysis, quarterly MAS employment and salary costs, participate in MAS, MOM surveys, etc and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Handle all other HR Projects and Administrative matters and undertake tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements :

  • Diploma in Business Studies/ Human Resource Management or equivalent with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as HR Generalist preferably in the financial industry
  • Strong HR operational background, understanding of local employment laws and knowledge of best HR market practices
  • Hands-on with Access EasyPay, Core and Leave modules will be an added advantage
  • Able to handle sensitive and private information with high confidentiality
  • Meticulous, resourceful, disciplined, self-motivated with great initiative, able to work independently & within teams in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Pleasant disposition with excellent interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)
