Modern Toilet Restaurant

This is probably Taiwan’s most famous themed restaurant of all. At the Modern Toilet Restaurant, which is located in the Ximending area, all meals come served in toilet-themed crockery.
Fancy sitting down to a hotpot meal served in a toilet bowl, or steak in a sink? And imagine doing so while seated on toilet seats and leaning against poop-shaped cushions, with your arms resting against the edge of a bathtub or sink.
If that doesn’t make you lose your appetite, then check out Modern Toilet Restaurant’s menu, which features a blend of Asian and Western dishes like Korean kimchi hotpot, grilled pork chop with red wine sauce and clam spaghetti with white wine.
PS Bubu

PS Bubu is a vintage car-themed cafe that lets you enjoy your meal while seated in a vintage Volkswagen Beetle or Mini Austin… sort of.
There is actually only one whole car in the restaurant. The rest is split up in order to accommodate diners, however, they can all be photographed to make you look like you’re sitting in the car.
The menu is mostly composed of Western dishes, including shrimp pasta garlic sauce, cheese grilled mussels and buffalo wings.
Alice Is Coming
Address: No. 111, Yanping South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan
Nearest Metro station: Ximen
Alice in Wonderland is probably the most surrealistic children’s story ever, and at Alice Is Coming, you can relive the whimsy of the Lewis Carroll classic.
Everything from the black and white chessboard tiles and teacup-shaped booths to the themed dining ware is on point.
They have several teas on the menu including seasonal fruit melange tea and strawberry and mango caffeine-free tea. Dishes include a mixture of Western dishes and sweet treats, as well as a sumptuous afternoon tea spread that includes sandwiches and cake.
Zoo Coffee
Address: No. 15, Alley 5, Lane 345, Section 4, Ren’ai Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106
Nearest Metro station: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station
No animals were harmed in the making of Zoo Cafe. This is a safari-themed cafe that will please animal and nature lovers. Plants hang down from the ceiling and you’ll find cuddly toys of your favourite wild animals littered throughout the cafe.
You’ll also find a range of mostly American-style coffees including green tea frappe and orange cappuccino, as well as hot and iced teas which include steamed red ginseng honey tea and fruit berry tea.
